Design work can be fun, creative and beautiful. But most of the time, let’s be honest, it’s a lot of busy work too. Getting pixel-perfect details right, rearranging elements on your canvas for the hundredth time, or dealing with invoicing if you’re a solo designer who also does the business side of things.
This week’s round-up of new Figma plugins seems to be full of tools to help with that busy work… Whether it’s to quickly organize a messy canvas, spec your components or even create an invoice, there’s a plugin for that!
1. Auto Arrange
Instantly organize the mess on your canvas.
Auto Arrange is a quick fix for that messy Figma canvas. Select all items that you want to organize and select the layout: grid, horizontal or vertical. You can customize the spacing between elements for all layouts and for the grid layout you can select how many columns it takes up. An efficient plugin that’s super easy to use.

2. Design System Documentation
Create specs for your design system in Figma.
If you’re setting up spec sheets for your components in Figma, the new plugin Design System Documentation is a great resource. Simply select a master component and click ‘Generate spec sheet’. The plugin instantly creates a clear and visual spec sheet that breaks down your component’s anatomy, exact dimensions and all its style design tokens. The plugin also supports variants, and is a great assistant whether you’re documenting your design system from scratch or updating new components.

4. Quick Mockups
Present your designs with instant mockups.
It seems like we can never have enough mockup plugins as they’re always among the most popular new Figma plugins. Quick Mockups is the latest to join this category and stands out for its one-click mockups and intuitive UX. While it doesn’t have hundreds of device sizes and types, it comes with the main ones and they are instantly applied to your designs. A few extra features that are nice include the auto size detection so your designs fit the mockup perfectly, and the free browser overlays if you need to add Chrome or Safari headers to your designs.

5. Replicate Assets
Quickly duplicate the same assets with different text, colors…
Replicate Assets is a straightforward plugin that helps you do exactly two things: create large-scale text copies while keeping the same visual style, and generate copies of vectors in different colors, based on a list of color codes. It’s a big time saver if you’re designing patterns, for example, and need duplicates of a certain object, or want to create a list of texts that look the same.
