While some of us are busy sniffling and sneezing against all these seasonal allergies, others are shipping cool, new Figma plugins 🚀
This week’s issue is packed with variety. There are fun plugins for animated emojis and bento box grids, and others for more serious stuff like slide deck pagination and library documentation. Either way, we’re pretty sure there’s something for you 👇
1. Animated Emojis
Insert animated emojis into your designs.
Animated Emojis is a fun Figma plugin for adding animated emojis to your designs. It comes with a browsable library of 411 animated GIF emoticons that you can drag and drop into your canvas. These GIF emoticons will be animated anytime you view your designs in prototype mode.

2. Bento Grid Maker
Create bento-style grids in Figma.
The Bento Grid Maker allows you to create bento-style grids in Figma. Select how many sections you want, if the row width should be equal and whether you want a larger section in the middle. You can also shuffle to generate a random bento grid if you can’t decide. This plugin is great for generating a card layout or image gallery; perfect for a landing page.

3. Design Library Showcase Generator
Generate a fully-documented showcase of your Figma UI library.
Design Library Showcase Generator is the latest plugin to help you with your design system documentation in Figma. With some basic settings, adjust the appearance of your showcase page, including background colors, frame spacings, corner radii and more. There are also options to show or hide variants, instance properties and descriptions. This plugin offers a great way to present components in a visually appealing and organized manner, without having to manually create each variant.

4. Paginator
Rename, reorder and paginate your slide deck in Figma.
Built by design & tech agency Source, Paginator is a helpful tool if you’re creating your slide decks in Figma. Unsatisfied with the existing plugins for ordering slides, this team set out to build something that worked for them, and hopefully many others too.
After following a few preliminary steps, use Paginator to quickly and automatically rename and reorder frames, and add pages to your slides. Plus, there’s no need to update numbering if the slide order changes or duplicates occur. Simply run the plugin again, and it takes care of it.

5. Protopie Genie (beta)
Create dynamic interactions for your input fields.
ProtoPie Genie (beta) is ProtoPie’s latest Figma plugin for adding dynamic interactions directly to your Figma prototypes. As the plugin is still in Beta, for now it only supports input fields, allowing you to enter text into your Figma prototype with the device keyboard, and then using this input directly in your prototype. More options for camera, speech-to-text and maps are coming soon.
